The purpose of the European Kobudo Association is to exchange information, experiences, practicing and demonstrating classical Japanese martial arts (koryu kobudo & shin kobudo), and old European Bujutsu traditions, the ‘Big Three’ (see below), on a free, voluntary, and friendly basis.

 Organizations and individuals can participate freely in the activities of the European Kobudo Association.

 European (international) law applies.

 Everyone has their own responsibility of what he writes or does.

You will not commit to the European Kobudo Association,
it is a voluntary commitment.

Participants in the activities comply with the Precepts of the Bushi.

The annual meeting of the kobudo organisations will take place in week 19 (second week of May) at the address of the organization involved within the European Kobudo Association. After the meeting and other activities, there will be a feast of the members of the European Kobudo Association.

 All participants in activities (demonstrations and other activities) comply with the rules of the organizing organization (as guest).

Presentation of all participant organisations or individuals
on the website of the European Kobudo Association (EKA)
will contain:
• Name of Martial arts tradition
(koryu kobudo, shin kobudo or European Jujutsu tradition):
• Name(s) of Martial art(s):
• Date founded/date affiliated with (shin)koryu:
• Founder of the tradition:
• Affiliations type (number 1, 2 or 3, see background information):
• Present headmaster and/or representative:
• Address, E-mail and website:
• Field notes (max. 2500 letters):
• Remarks:
• One photo (300 dpi).

If an organization and/or an individual wants that the information will be removed from the EKA website, this will be done as soon as possible, at least within a month.

 The European Kobudo Association is based on the same goals and activities as the Nippon Kobudo Kyokai in Japan (see: Nippon Budokan (2011). Budo - The Martial Ways of Japan. Tokyo: Nippon Budokan), and it is a promotional organisation.
